New worldwide study: girls are outperforming boys in science, math and reading-

Researchers at the University of Missouri and the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland studied the educational achievement levels of 1.5 million 15-year-olds from around the world using data collected between 2000 and 2010. They have determined that girls outperform boys in educational achievement in 70 percent of the countries they studied—regardless of the level of gender, political, economic or social equality.

  1. As a feminist I would say Brava! If the barriers of discrimination against women are removed, women turn out to have certain talents that exceed those of men. It should not come as a surprise or be greeted with horror. Men will continue to exceed women in other ways. Now we seem to have leveled the playing field, and women can shine at what they do well. What's wrong with that?
